During the second year of high school Lauren Conrad appeared on the MTV reality show Laguna Beach: the real orange county. With the completion of the graduation in 2004 she attended the academy of art university of San Francisco which is the place where she first met Heidi Montag.

The premier episode of the fourth season was aired in the month of august in the year 2008. With the beginning of the fifth season of the show that began in January 2009, Lauren Conrad stated that the fifth season will be the last for her, but even of she will go the show will go on.
